Autumn decorating with my Fall Flight quilt from Carried Away Quilting


Hello quilting friends! Fall has officially arrived in Minnesota. Not only has the calendar turned over to September, but we are already experiencing much cooler weather. That was my signal to start a bit of autumn decorating, which I wanted to share with you.

October in Minnesota is beautiful. For most of the month, the lawns are still green but the trees put on a brilliant show of golden oranges, fiery reds, deep rusts and regal plums. While it’s true that our temperatures begin to drop in October, the weather is typically mild. It’s the season of scarves and sweaters, camp fires, crisp evening walks, and pretty pots of mums on the porch. Yes, we try to squeeze it all in before the first snow flies!

Autumn brings a new adventure from Carried Away Quilting


Hello quilting friends!  I’m happy to say that our move is complete!  We've settled into a home on a small lake just a few miles north of the town where my husband now works. We are centrally located to most of our family and friends, which is wonderful. We are so excited to begin this next adventure. 


My husband is a fisherman, and our whole family enjoys spending time on the water. It’s my dream that we’ll live here for many years, and one day there will be grandkids playing on our little beach.
