Hello again, makers!

Canvas mexican dressBLOG

Today I’m excited to have started a new chapter in my sewing journey, and it was to use another substrate I wasn’t familiar with. First thing, I thought of sewing was a tote because I wouldn’t be afraid of cutting a lot of pieces, and it could also be simple enough for any beginner to make! I started this project on the first day of summer so I was inspired by the summery canvas print ...

London Calling with Bari J.'s Bloomsbury from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Bloomsbury1111

For our latest collection, we're transporting back in time to the early 1900s in London, England. In the west end of the city, lies a district called "Bloomsbury" that was (and still is) a fashionable residential area where various intellectual and cultural events took place. During the turn of the century, a group of artists and writers gathered in this district and called themselves "The Bloomsbury Group." English writer Virginia Woolf was one of the most notable members of this group. The other members included Leonard Woolf, Vanessa Bell, E.M. Forster, Lytton Strachey, Roger Fry, Clive Bell, John ...

Do you love to show off complex looking projects that are truly easy to make? If so, me too! For the romantic and delicate Everlasting collection, we will be making an 18" pillow top combining the improvisational and the strip piecing techniques.

Just so you know, the reason this tutorial is called "Striped Landscape" is because once I finished it, it reminded me of the vacation I want to take in a quiet beach with beautiful sunsets! ;)

The featured fabrics are Something Blue (Fabric A), Creme de la Creme (Fabric B), Snow (Fabric C), and Cherished Wishes ...

Sharon Holland's Latest Collection - Everlasting! from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Ever

"The story behind my new collection is definitely a love story inspired by my daughter,  Anna. She reminds me, in so many ways, of all the joys of summer. A large part of this collection celebrates her June wedding, so you'll discover several of the fabrics aptly reference marriage, but you'll also find some special memories from my childhood woven in as well. For example, the print called 'Summer’s Dream' plays tribute to my favorite bird—the swallow. I have sweet memories of watching the swallows follow and swoop around my father as he mowed the lawn ...

As you know, every Monday we feature the amazing work that you create with our fabrics on our social media. 5 Eco-Friendly Fabric Projects from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Hi, Makers!

People have been a  little more self-aware on the effects we’ve been having on this planet, and you may have realized this movement has been becoming more popular every year. I’ve been personally trying really hard lately to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Some things I’m proud of doing this year is bringing my own tote bags to the grocery store, and eliminating all plastic products from the bathroom. (And let me tell you, finding shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste without plastic packing was quite a challenge!) I still plan on getting better, and I’m inspired ...

Dana Willard's "Summer Side" Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Hi Makers!

With our latest collection and lookbook, all of us here at AGF have been using "summertime" as our main source of inspiration these days. When it comes to this season, I definitely think about hanging out at the beach and celebrating my birthday on the Fourth of July with tons of fireworks, but more than anything, I think about a certain kind of fruit that arrives only during summer. Living in Florida, one of the best things that happens during this time is mango season! You'll find hundreds of mango trees here with tons of ripe fruit ...
