Wandering Around: Mayfair from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Mayfair_banner_600px

Hello Fabric Lovers,

Our newest collection called Mayfair by Amy Sinibaldi takes you straight to London! Inspired by the neighborhood of the same name in Central London. A small interesting fact, the name Mayfair comes from a 17th-Century springtime celebration once held in that area. In this lovely collection, fabric patterns range from small dainty to big and expressive florals. Pastel to deep rich tones. Super versatile and perfectly suited for upcoming seasons like spring and summer.

Reminiscing on her visits to Shepherd Market, Piccadilly, Hyde Park, and Covent Garden. Amy sketched the flower-filled neighborhoods that surrounded her beloved hotel ...

Foresta_banner_600px

Hello Makers!

I’m here to bring you exciting news, our second fusion collection of 2020 called Foresta Fusion is available! This collection is perfect for all the nature lovers out there. What I love about this collection is the color palette and fabric prints immerse you into the coziness and atmosphere of being in the woods. Being a Florida native, I’ve been surrounded by beaches all my life, but always preferred a more forest scenery. There is something magical about the peacefulness and vibrant colors from nature that you experience by exploring.

Ballerina_cover_banner_600px

Welcome, fabric friends!

Who’s ready to start the year with fresh, new fabric? I’m delighted to be showing you our first fusion collection release of 2020, called Ballerina Fusion! This is a new Fusion collection from AGF, meaning we grab a couple of prints from your favorite designers, and then we recolor them to create a new exciting group. Crazy to think how much a color palette can change how you feel. I personally really enjoy this collection because of its soft neutral colors and minimal prints. It makes me want to dip more into my feminine side ...

Spirited_Banner-600pxHowdy, yall!

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend, I know I did! This past weekend it gave me time to reflect all the things I've done through the year, and really appreciate what I accomplished. It's nice when you set a New Year's Resolution, and actually do it! It's a great thing, whether you completed a big sewing project you've been working on a long time, or something small, it's something to be proud of! Now to finish out the year with a bang, and starting this month with Sharon Holland's ...

SEW THE RAINBOW! from That's Sew Kerry

Travelling Quilt Bee 2019

A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to be part of a Travelling Quilt Bee it was an amazing experience for me, I made some great 'virtual' quilt friends many of whom I am still in regular quilty contact with, as well as being a great opportunity to try new things and develop my skills. This was largely due to the fact that back then I wasn't overly brave when it came to fabric choices, colour palettes or block/pattern choices and had a real tendency to stick to what I knew and ...

a (somewhat) needed sunday stash from Charm About You

I bought fabric at Festival of Quilts and the Stitch Gathering - supporting those artists and shops I love - but there's not been much fabric shopping going on and that's mostly down to the fact that I want to be using what I have. There are plenty of times I do 'fake shopping', adding beautiful fabric to online baskets but I don't hit 'checkout' because I know that it will ultimately end up in the piles and piles of fabric I already have. The decision to buy fabric now has to be because I need it for a ...

Denim-newsletter copy

This week at AGF, a lot of exciting things have been happening, with the latest releases of our Lookbook, to quilt market, and now I’m here with more news! Last week we received a large shipment restocking all of our denim!!

I am overjoyed this is back because not only is it more fabric to play with, but more options for my upcoming projects! When people hear denim, some automatically think jeans, but it’s way more than that. Imagine all the modern quilts you can make, the fun apparel you can sew with all the printed denim, and ...

5 Fall Table Runners from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Hi, Makers!

Who else is excited that Fall is here?! My favorite part of the season is Pumpkin Spice everything, I am one of those people that stock up for the whole year! But other than food, one thing I especially love during this time is the warm colors and decorations I see during this time of year. My mom recently bought her first home, and it was nothing less than fun to decorate for the season! Gathering pumpkins, sewing some table-mats, and hanging our reef on the door.

It's also that time of year that we gather together ...

Feeling Grateful: Kushukuru Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Kushukuru-Banner_600px
"My inspiration comes directly from my life, mostly, and my experiences throughout. When creating collections for fabric, paintings, illustrations, and everything, I draw on my life, memories, feelings, and messages that I’d like to share with myself and with the wider world. I’m also deeply inspired by the natural world and could draw and paint animals forever and never get tired of it!" - Jessica Swift

It's always so inspiring to learn where our designers gather their inspiration for a fabric collection. After the unexpected passing of her husband last year, our designer Jessica Swift received an overwhelming ...
